Ranbir Kapoor leases Pune apartment for Rs 4.63 lakh monthly rent: Report

Ranbir Kapoor Leases Pune Trump Towers Apartment for Rs 4.63 Lakh a Month

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has leased an apartment at Trump Towers in Pune for a starting monthly rent of Rs 4.63 lakh. The three-year leave-and-licence agreement is expected to bring in approximately Rs 1.75 crore in rental income over its full term, with the rent set to rise each year.

Property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix show that the agreement was registered on October 6, 2026. It covers a residence on the 10th floor of Tower A at Trump Towers, in Pune’s Yerwada area near Kalyani Nagar. The apartment measures around 6,094 square feet and comes with three covered parking spaces.

Rent to increase annually under three-year agreement

The licence runs from September 20, 2026, to September 19, 2029. Ruchi Goel is named as the licensee, while Kapoor is represented in the agreement by his power of attorney holder, Shanti Shivdas Malik.

The monthly rent is structured to increase by 5% each year. It is set at Rs 4.63 lakh for the first year, rising to Rs 4.86 lakh in the second year and Rs 5.11 lakh in the third. The agreement also records a security deposit of Rs 27.78 lakh.

Based on the stated monthly rates, the property is expected to generate close to Rs 1.75 crore in rent across the 36-month term. The arrangement reflects a familiar feature of longer residential leases: a fixed initial rent combined with scheduled increases, giving the owner a rising return while providing the tenant with clarity over future costs.

A Pune property connection dating back to 2015

Kapoor’s association with Trump Towers Pune goes back more than a decade. He and his late father, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, reportedly purchased apartments in the development in 2015, with each property said to have cost around Rs 13 crore. The latest lease places the actor’s Pune real estate in the spotlight again, at a time when premium homes in major Indian cities continue to attract attention from investors, tenants and property watchers.

Trump Towers is located in an established part of Pune, with access to business districts, retail destinations and transport links. Large residences with multiple parking spaces are a relatively limited segment of the rental market, and properties in high-profile developments can appeal to tenants seeking space, security and building amenities. The reported lease terms offer a snapshot of how luxury residential rentals are being structured in the city.

Celebrity property transactions often draw interest because they connect the worlds of entertainment and real estate. However, the agreement itself is also notable for its scale: a home of more than 6,000 square feet, a substantial deposit and a rent schedule that climbs over the lease period. The figures provide a glimpse into the costs associated with Pune’s upper-end housing market, without necessarily representing typical rents across the city.

Ranbir Kapoor’s focus turns to Ramayana

The property news comes as Kapoor is busy promoting Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on November 5, 2026, and has become one of the most closely watched upcoming projects in Bollywood. Kapoor is set to portray Lord Rama in the ambitious screen adaptation.

The international trailer was recently unveiled at a major event in Bengaluru, attended by Kapoor, other members of the cast and the filmmakers. The preview has drawn attention to the film’s large-scale presentation and its interpretation of the epic’s central conflict. Yash is set to play Ravana, setting up a dramatic on-screen confrontation between the two actors.

For audiences, the trailer launch has added to anticipation around the film’s visual approach, performances and retelling of a story familiar to generations. The project also marks a significant role for Kapoor, whose filmography spans romance, drama, comedy and action. His portrayal of Lord Rama is likely to be a major talking point as the release approaches.

Entertainment and lifestyle news in focus

Kapoor’s Pune lease and his upcoming film promotion highlight two very different sides of a star’s public profile: long-term investment in property and the demands of a major theatrical release. While the reported rental agreement offers a concrete update on his real estate holdings, Ramayana is expected to keep him in the headlines as its campaign gathers momentum.

With the lease running until September 2029 and the film scheduled for release in November 2026, both developments are likely to remain points of interest for fans following Bollywood news, celebrity property updates and the next chapter in Kapoor’s career.
