Police Say Tiger Shroff Shooting Interrogation Has Not Revealed Another Celebrity Target
Police have clarified that questioning four people arrested in connection with the firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff’s car has not uncovered evidence that another celebrity was targeted. The statement comes amid reports alleging that Salman Khan was considered an earlier target and that people linked to the case surveyed the homes of several prominent Bollywood stars.
Praveen Tripathi, Deputy Commissioner of Police in the Special Cell, said the four arrested individuals were allegedly part of a weapons-supply network. Their suspected role, he explained, was to obtain firearms, bring them to Mumbai and deliver them to others. According to Tripathi, investigators did not learn from these four that another celebrity was on a target list.
“Nothing of that sort emerged during our interrogation,” Tripathi told ANI, adding that the accused were allegedly involved in procuring and delivering weapons and had limited knowledge of the wider operation.
What the Police Statement Does—and Does Not—Confirm
Tripathi’s remarks offer a specific account of what investigators learned from the four people in custody. They do not confirm claims that Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar or any other Bollywood actor was targeted. Nor do they independently verify reports that the accused conducted reconnaissance at celebrity residences.
That distinction matters because early reports about a high-profile case can combine information from different sources and stages of an investigation. The police official’s comments concern the alleged role and knowledge of the four arrested suspects; they should not be read as a complete account of every lead being examined by investigators.
Some reports, citing unnamed investigation sources, have alleged that Salman Khan was initially considered a target. According to those accounts, a plan was reconsidered after a recce of his Galaxy Apartments residence, where security was reportedly viewed as difficult to breach. The same reports claim Tiger Shroff was later selected as a comparatively easier target. These claims have not been confirmed by Tripathi’s statement.
Other media reports have alleged that people connected to the case posed as ordinary visitors while surveying locations associated with celebrities, including the homes of Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar. For now, those accounts remain separate from the information Tripathi said the four arrested individuals provided during questioning.
Police Outline the Suspects’ Alleged Roles
Tripathi said a special team arrested two women, identified as Radha and Babita, and two men, Kunal and Sumit. Police allege that Kunal, who had recently been released from jail in connection with another case, travelled to Amritsar with Sumit to collect weapons. The trip was allegedly made on the instructions of Anil Pandit.
Investigators further allege that Kunal arranged for Radha and Babita to transport the firearms to Mumbai. The women are accused of delivering the weapons to a minor near a railway station. These details describe the alleged movement of weapons through the network; they do not establish what each person knew about the intended use of the firearms.
Tripathi also said Kunal was in contact with Pandit through encrypted communication. Police allege that Kunal had previously carried out a shooting in Panipat at Pandit’s direction. As with the other allegations, these claims form part of the ongoing investigation and are not, on their own, a finding of guilt.
Investigation Into the Mumbai Firing Continues
The firing incident involving Tiger Shroff’s car took place in Mumbai on October 18. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident, the movement of the weapons and the alleged links between those arrested and other individuals. The full picture may become clearer as investigators assess evidence and question additional people, if necessary.
The case has drawn considerable attention because it involves a well-known actor and has prompted speculation about possible threats to other Bollywood celebrities. However, the available public statements point to an important caution: allegations about a wider target list should not be treated as confirmed unless investigators establish and publicly substantiate them.
For audiences following the story, the key update is that police have described the four arrested suspects as alleged members of a weapons-supply chain, while saying their interrogation did not reveal another celebrity target. That clarification narrows what can currently be attributed to those interviews, but it does not resolve every question surrounding the case.
